The final date is set! On July 9, my.Cornell.edu will be retired, due to an imbalance between low usage and overall support costs.

Status of the myCornell retirement

  • Over the past few months, we have been coordinating with myCornell representatives (owners of each tab) to move departmental content to other websites. Most content is already moved. We have a few more to complete, but everything will be done prior to the retirement date. After July 9, links to content will be provided on a sorry page.
  • It was possible for individuals to create “My Bookmark” portlets in myCornell. We were able to ascertain that approximately 100 individuals were using this feature. On Monday, June 16, we emailed all affected users to inform them about the change, and to let them know how to copy their bookmarks out of myCornell. We will provide a final reminder to these users during the last week of June.

What to expect after myCornell is retired

When the website is retired, on July 9, you will see a sorry page with a list of links mapping each department tab to its new content location. THE SORRY PAGE IS TEMPORARY: It will only be available until the end of the 2014 calendar year. Please bookmark department content in your browser or with another tool and stop using the myCornell page at your earliest convenience.
